Varanasi, July 17 (TNA) Having won wholesome praise for the security arrangements made during the recent visit of prime minister Narendra Modi to his parliamentary constituency, the Varanasi police is now set for a major makeover.

Police Commissioner A Satish Ganesh has proposed that soon all the police constables will have 'smart ID cards', which will have special QR cade for every individual.

Ganesh held a meeting with the police officers at the camp office where he informed that smart IDs of policemen will be made. With this smart ID, the policemen will get a different identity.

These smart IDs will have complete information of the policeman, which will be equipped with a QR code. Along with this, two new police stations are also to be built in the city. With this, the security arrangements for upcoming festivals Sawan and Bakrid were also discussed in this meeting.

About thousand IDs will be made for the police personnel of the city, which will be for the police station, police line and traffic personnel of the commissionerate.

The police commissioner will also have a smart ID, in which the complete information will be revealed on scanning the QR code. By scanning the QR code, it will be known in which police station this policeman is posted.
