Venerated Saint Swami Shivshankar Chaitanya Passes Away In Varanasi At 108
Varanasi, April 8 (TNA) A great Shiva devotee and admired seer, Swami Shivshankar Chaitanya passed away in the holy city on Sunday. People across the country, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath have mourned the demise of the venerated saint.
The scholars of Kashi said that his demise has caused an irreparable loss to the world of spiritual practice. Kashi's Shiva devotee Swami Shivshankar Chaitanya Bharti Maharaj was 108 years old. He breathed his last at Ramakrishna Mission Hospital in Laksa. He was given Jalsamadhi in Ganga in front of the Manikarnika Ghat.
PM Narendra Modi, CM Yogi Adityanath including the saints of Kashi, members and devotees associated with Vidvat Samaj and Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple Trust expressed their condolences. The scholars of Kashi said that his demise has caused an irreparable loss to the world of spiritual practice. Swami Shivshankar, a great devotee of Shri Kashi Vishwanath, was considered by his followers as the walking form of Lord Vishwanath.
