Vigilance, IT Raids On SP Leader Close To Suspended Auraiyya DM

Lucknow, April 5 (TNA) Teams of the vigilance department and the Income Tax raided the house and other establishments of Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Makhlu Pandey in Auraiyya on Tuesday. He is into mining business and is considered close to the recentldy suspended Auriyya district magistrate Sunil Verma.

The raids against Pandey, sources say emanate from charges of illigal mining and disproportionate assets.

Suspended DM Sunil Verma had recently honored Makhlu Pandey and Hari Tiwari with ‘Auraiya Ratna’.
