Vote Count Tomorrow: Security Arrangements Beefed Up, Liquor Shops Closed

Lucknow, March 9 (TNA) As the world waits anxiously for the state assembly results of Uttar Pradesh, elaborate arrangements are in place ahead of the vote count that begins at 8 am on Thursday. The counting will begin simultaneously for 403 assembly seats across 75 districts.

All liquor shops will be closed during the counting of votes. The Excise Department has issued an order saying that the sale and operation of liquor is prohibited for the whole day tomorrow and strict action will be taken for any violation.

Around 70,000 civil police personnel, 245 companies of paramilitary forces and 69 company PAC has been deployed for the counting of votes. During this, if any person tries to create disorder or riot, then strict action will be taken against him, Prashant Kumar, ADG (Law and Order) stated.
