Voting Begins For Sixth Phase In Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Among First Voters
Lucknow, March 3 (TNA) Voting for the crucial sixth phase of the elections of the Uttar Pradesh began at 7 am on Thursday. Balloting started after mock polling for 57 assembly constituencies of the ten districts where elections are being held today.
In the sixth phase, the reputation of CM Yogi Adityanath along with his seven ministers, leader of the Opposition in the outgoing assembly, Ram Govind Chaudhary and BSP Legislature Party leader Umashankar Singh and Congress state president Ajay Kumar Lallu is at stake.
In this phase 2.15 crore voters will decide the fate of 676 candidates including CM Yogi Adityanath. Of these, 66 are women candidates. In the year 2017, out of 57 seats, 46 seats were occupied by the BJP.
Yogi Adityanath, who is the BJP candidate from the Gorakhpur city assembly constituency fed cows after doing his daily puja and then went to cast his vote in a primary school Gorakhnath Kanya Nagar area.
