Voting For 13 MLC Seats To Take Place On March 21, Schedule Issued

Lucknow, February 24 (TNA) For the UP MLC Election 2024, the election program for 13 Legislative Council seats in UP has been issued. Voting will be held on March 21. The notification has been issued for 13 vacant seats of the Legislative Council in UP. Nominations for this will start from March 4.

13 seats of the Legislative Council are falling vacant on May 5, 2024. According to the notification issued by the Election Commission, nominations will start on March 4. Nominations can be withdrawn till March 14. Voting will take place on March 21. After this, the counting of votes will take place after 5 pm on the same day.

UP Chief Electoral Officer Navdeep Rinwa said that the Election Commission of India has fixed the schedule for the election of 13 members of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council.

The tenure of 13 members of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council elected by the members of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly is ending on May 5, 2024. To fill the vacancies of these members, a program has been fixed for holding Legislative Council biennial elections in 2024.
