Lucknow, February 20 (TNA) Voting for the curcial third phase in Uttar Pradesh began on a peaceful note on Sunday morning. In the third phase, there are 13 assembly seats which have been marked as sensitive. The list includes the seats of Kannauj, Shikohabad, Firozabad, Mainpuri, Bhogaon, Kishni, Karhal, Aliganj, Sadabad, Aryanagar, Sisamau, Kidwainagar and Kanpur Cantt.

The third phase of polling under the assembly elections will be held till 6 pm. 2.16 crore voters will decide the fate of 627 candidates in 59 seats in 16 districts. It also includes 97 women candidates. Chief Electoral Officer Ajay Kumar Shukla said that the districts where polling is to be held in the third phase include Hathras, Firozabad, Etah, Kasganj, Mainpuri, Farrukhabad, Kannauj, Etawah, Auraiya, Kanpur Dehat, Kanpur Nagar, Jalaun, Jhansi, Lalitpur, Hamirpur and Mahoba.

Live webcasting is being done through cameras at 50 percent of the booths. All women personnel have been deployed in total 641 Adarsh ​​polling stations and 129 booths.

In these districts, 25794 booths have been set up at 15557 polling stations. 52 General Observers, 16 Police Observers and 19 Expenditure Observers have been deployed to keep an eye on the booths.

2235 Sector Magistrates, 273 Zonal Magistrates, 832 Static Magistrates and 3069 Micro Observers have also been deployed. Apart from this, two Senior Expenditure Observers have been deployed along with one Senior General Observer and Senior Police Observer.
