With Eight Allahabad HC Judges Infected, Only Virtual Meetings From Today

Lucknow, January 10 (TNA) After eight judges got corona infected so far in the third wave, the Allahabad High Court administration has decided to hold only virtual hearings in Allahabad High Court and Lucknow Bench from today. This decision was taken at a virtual meeting of senior judges and representatives of the bar, chaired by Chief Justice Rajesh Bindal on Sunday.

Awadh Bar Association President Rakesh Chaudhary said that for the next 15 days, the hearing will be held only through video conferencing. After that the situation will be assessed.

It was learned in the meeting that apart from 8 judges of Allahabad High Court and Lucknow Bench, various employees of the court and members of the registry have also been infected. Till now, hearings were being held in the High Court through hybrid mode, i.e. both virtual and physical.
