Woman Cop In Lucknow Slits Her Vein While On Video Call, Then Hangs Self

Lucknow, May 16 (TNA) A woman constable of the UP Police slit her vein and then hung herself while talking on a video call. She was posted in the SGPGI at a rented accomodation in Kalli West. The police have confiscated the mobile and sent it for forensic examination.

Sarita Nishad (26), a female constable posted in PGI police station, was talking to someone on a video call on Sunday afternoon. During the call only she cut the vein of her wrist three times. Then by making a noose of a dupatta, she committed suicide by hanging himself from the fan.

Other woman cops living in the neighbouring room called her but when the door did not open, then they peeped through the window to see the whole scene.

According to Inspector-in-Charge PGI Dharampal Singh, Sarita, was originally a resident of Krishnapura Bharapur in Fatehabad Agra. She was selected in the force in 2021. She was posted at PGI police station from January 11, 2022.
