Woman Passenger Dies On Plane In Varanasi, Was Going From Patna To Amritsar
Varanasi, February 11 (TNA) A female passenger died on Friday due to sudden health deterioration in a Spice Jet flight going from Patna to Amritsar. The aircraft was forced to make an emergency landing at the LBS International airport in Varanasi.
The dead body has been kept at the airport, after the paperwork is done on Saturday, the dead body will be handed over to the relatives. The deceased has been identifies as Sabarjit Kaur (59), a resident of Tarn Taran in Punjab, who had gone to Patna to visit with her nephew and another relative.
In the afternoon everyone took a flight to Amritsar by Spice Jet SG-2942 aircraft. As soon as the plane took off from Patna airport, suddenly Sabarjeet's health deteriorated. She had difficulty in breathing, complained of restlessness and palpitations.
Crew members inside the aircraft started giving first aid, but there was no relief. After this the pilot contacted ATC and sought permission for emergency landing at Babatpur airport. The landing took place at 12:30 in the afternoon.
The pre-prepared airport doctors immediately started treating the woman by shifting her to a ward but she could not be saved. Spice Jet spokesperson Anand Deora said that after the completion of the process on Saturday, the body would be sent from Varanasi to Delhi and from there to Punjab.
