Woman Working At Magh Mela Gives Birth To Girl Child, Names Her Ganga

Prayagraj, January 13 (TNA) On Thursday, ahead of the Makar Sankranti festival, there was all-round happiness as the cries of the newborn echoed in the Triveni Hospital built on the sands of Sangam. A woman selling prasad among Kalpavasis and devotees gave birth to a girl child in the hospital of the fair. She was admitted to the hospital after having labor pain. According to doctors, both mother and child are safe.

Uma Gupta, who came from Madhya Pradesh, sets up a Prasad shop at Mahavir Chauraha along with her daughter-in-law Aarti. His daughter-in-law Aarti, who used to sell prasad amidst the crowd of saints and devotees at Sangam, was admitted to Triveni Hospital after she complained of labour pain.

There the superintendent of the hospital, Dr. Ankita Pandey admitted her to the delivery ward. After this Aarti gave birth to a healthy girl child under the supervision of doctors and nurses. Mela Adhikari Arvind Chauhan also inquired about the health of ‘Ganga’ and her mother from the hospital administration.

He appreciated the hospital personnel for the safe delivery of the girl child in the Mela area. Mela Adhikari will go to the hospital on Friday to see Ganga.
