Yogi Adityanath Cracks Whip On Revenue Officers, Calls For Expeditious Work On Land Matters
Lucknow, June 15 (TNA) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has cracked the whip on negligence in the settlement of revenue-related matters and has summoned the report of careless officers whose performance is in question. At a recent high-level meeting, Yogi had expressed great displeasure over the negligence in revenue-related matters. Revenue Council Chairman Rajneesh Dubey recently reviewed the revenue-related matters. Showcase notices have been issued to revenue officers, ADM, SDM, Naib Tehsildar and Tehsildar level officers for negligence in revenue-related works.
Chief Secretary Durga Shankar Mishra also held a meeting regarding revenue-related matters. During this, he reprimanded the careless officers in settling revenue-related matters in various districts of the state. Mahoba, Chitrakoot and Muzaffarnagar lagging in settlement of revenue disputes In the meeting of the Revenue Department by Chief Secretary Durga Shankar Mishra, it came to light that many districts have been lagging in settlement of revenue-related matters.
The Chief Secretary directed to speed it up. Apart from this, Mahoba, Chitrakoot, Muzaffarnagar, Shamli and Baghpat have lagged in resolving revenue disputes. More than eight thousand cases are pending here.
The Chief Secretary has also found that the performance of Kanpur Nagar, Prayagraj, Varanasi, Chitrakoot and Balrampur is not good in real-time Khatauni. Similarly, the percentage of Khatauni revision and share determination has been very low in Varanasi, Sonbhadra, Ballia, Mainpuri and Gorakhpur.
Only about 50 per cent of the share determination work has been done in these districts. At the same time, work is going on at a very slow pace in Gorakhpur, Prayagraj, Barabanki, Jaunpur and Ghazipur in preparing Gharauni under the ownership scheme.
