Yogi Orders Cancellation Of UP Police Constable Recruitment Exam, To Be Held Again Within Six Months

Lucknow, February 24 (TNA) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has ordered the cancellation of the Police Constable Recruitment Examination-2023 held on 17th and 18th February. He has also given instructions to conduct the examination again with complete cleanliness within the next 6 months. The Chief Minister took this decision on Saturday while reviewing the ongoing STF investigation and the action taken so far about the paper leak of the said examination.

The Chief Minister said that playing with the hard work of the youth and compromising the integrity of the examination cannot be accepted. Strict action is certain to be taken against such unruly elements, he said. On the instructions of the Chief Minister, the Home Department has also issued an order to cancel the examination.

According to the order issued, based on an examination of the facts and information received regarding the police recruitment examination held on February 17 and 18, 2024, after due consideration by the government, given the highest standards of purity and transparency, it was decided to cancel this examination.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said on the social media site that orders have been given to cancel the examination 2023 conducted for selection to the posts of Reserve Civil Police and to conduct the re-examination within the next six months. He said that no compromise can be made with the sanctity of examinations.
