Young Varanasi Sub-inspector Among 105 Winners Of Home Minister's Medal For Excellence In Investigation

Varanasi, August 13 (TNA) A young sub-inspector with the Varanasi Police figures in the Union Home Minister's Medal for Excellence in Investigation for 2022. A total of 105 recipients have been announced.

The SI Suraj Tiwari shares this honour along with sleuths of CBI, NIA and other premiere investigating agencies. This rare feat of 2015 batch Tiwari was due to his meticulous and professional investigation in NEET solver gang case. Last year in July a case was registered in Police station Sarnath.

An interstate gang was unearthed which was being operated by Patna based kingpin PK alias Nilesh. So far over two dozen culprits have been booked and Gangster Act has been invoked. The gang had its operation in UP, Bihar, Karnataka, Rajasthan and Tripura.

Team led by Crime Branch Incharge Inspector Anjani Pandey who played a stellar role in working out the case. CP Varanasi A. Satish Ganesh has congratulated the officer for his achievement which brought laurels to the entire UP Police force.
