Youth Arrested With Rs 36.12 Lakh Cash At Mirzapur Railway Station, Was On Way To Kolkata To Buy Gold

Mirzapur, Sep 2 (TNA) A youth has been caught with Rs 36 lakh in cash at the Mirzapur railway station. He was going to Kolkata to buy gold, he told the investigating police team. The Income Tax Department team is now engaged in investigating the source and legality of the money.

During interrogation, he revealed his name as Omprakash Bind resident of Lohandi Kala. On the information of GRP, inspectors of Income Tax Department Saurabh Singh and Ajay Kumar arrived for investigation.

An officer told TNA that when the team recovered the notes in the bag, they added up to Rs 36.12 lakh.
