Amid Global Jobs Crisis, After Twitter, Amazon, Google May Also Lay Off Staff
California, Nov 24 (TNA) Amids an ongoing global crisis on job front reports are coming that Google may lay off six percent or 10,000 employees due to its deteriorating global financial condition. The company is identifying those employees whose performance is not up to the mark.
The report claims that Google has asked team managers to evaluate employees as part of a new ranking and performance improvement plan. In addition, managers have been asked to rank team members. It will be decided on this basis whether the members will be given bonus and shares or not.
Google's parent company Alphabet has not officially confirmed this however Sundar Pichai, CEO of Alphabet and Google had hinted about layoffs a few months ago. He had said that the company should be 20 per cent more efficient.
