Donald Trump Most-Tweeted-About In 2020, PM Modi On Seventh Slot

Washington, December 10 (TNA) In the year 2020, most Tweets were done about the outgoing US president Donald Trump, the social media giant Twitter has announced. The fact came to light in its year-end review. In the list of 'Most-Tweeted-About' Trump has emerged at the top, possibly because of the 2020 presidential election in America.

Over 700 million Tweets were sent in 2020 about elections around the world and Donald Trump, Joe Biden, Barack Obama, Narendra Modi and Kamala Harris were among the most Tweeted-about global figures," read a blog post by Tracy McGraw, Global Head of Consumer Communications for Twitter.

President-Elect, Joe Biden has taken the second slot and his VP candidate, Kamala Harris is on the tenth position of the list. She is also the only woman on the list. Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, also figures in the all-powerful list where he is on the seventh slot.

According to the blog post, it came as no surprise that the most popular hashtag used by most people this year was none other than #COVID19.
