Following Spain's support for the Moroccan autonomy plan, Brahim Ghali gave an exclusive interview from the Tindouf camps to the newspaper El Mundo.

The interview which developed on 22 questions served to reproduce the separatist thesis of the polisario without bringing new elements. In this interview, the leader of the mercenaries affirms that he does not renounce the self-determination of his people and accuses the Chief Executive of acting behind the backs of Spanish society and Parliament.

He adds, in the sense that it is the UN and its resolutions which must prevail in the completion of the decolonization of the occupied territories. The noblest part of Spain is its people. To conclude, he affirms that he does not understand the turn of the socialist leader on the Sahrawi cause.

In lack of arguments, he categorically refused to answer three questions from the journalist, in particular on his criminal background as well as on possible attacks by the Polisario on Spanish interests as was the case of the Spanish sailors murdered in 1970.
