Rafah, October 17 (TNA) Hamas chief Yahya Sinwar, the mastermind of the attack on Israel on 7 October last year, has died in an Israeli attack. Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu and Foreign Minister Katz confirmed Sinwar's death on Thursday night. The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) attacked a building in central Gaza in a routine operation a day earlier on Wednesday.

There was news of 3 Hamas members being killed in this. Later it was found that one of them was Yahya Sinwar. His photos went viral on social media. In this, it was claimed from his face, teeth and watch that the person killed was Yahya Sinwar. The reason for the war between Israel and Hamas was the 7 October attack, in which 1200 Israeli civilians were killed. Since then the war between the two has been going on.

A DNA test was done to confirm the death DNA test was conducted leading to confirmation. Earlier also Israel had made several unsuccessful attempts to kill Sinwar. US President Joe Biden has expressed happiness at the elimination of the dreaded terrorist leader.
