Legendary Footballer Diego Maradona Given A Tearful Adieu, Laid To Rest

Buenos Aires, Nov 27 (TNA) Footballer Diego Maradona was given a tearful send off by his fans, former team mates and a grief-stricken nation on Thursday.

The legendary football player was laid to rest after a ceremony attended by family and close friends in the leafy surrounds of the Bella Vista cemetery outside Buenos Aires.

One of the greatest footballers of all time, the World Cup winner died on Wednesday aged 60, after suffering a cardiac arrest.

He had been recently operated for a brain clot. His death sparked off mourning across the globe, with his fans remembering his iconic goals and happy-go-lucky nature.
