Narendra Modi Tops Global Survey That Ranked Leaders
New Delhi, Sep 5 (TNA) In a global survey which rated leaders of various countries, prime minister Narendra Modi has emerged at the top. He has left behind global heavyweights like Joe Biden, Boris Johnson, Angela Merkel, Justin Trudeau and others.
According to a survey conducted by The Morning Consult, PM Modi received a stellar approval rating of 70 per cent while Mexico President Andrés Manuel López Obrador was second with 64 per cent and Italy Prime Minister Mario Draghi completed the top three with 63 per cent.
As of September 2, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s approval ratings were the highest among thirteen world leaders surveyed by US-based global leader approval tracker Morning Consult. The survey data is updated on a weekly basis.
At 70 per cent, PM Modi is ahead of Mexican president Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, US President Joe Biden, Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson and Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also has the lowest disapproval rating among adults. Of the adults surveyed in India, 25 per cent disapproved of him.
