Niger Votes In Second Phase Of Presidential Polls

Niamey, February 21 (TNA) Niger on Sunday votes in the second phase of the presidential elections that is likely to usher in the first democratic transition of power since it gained independence from France in 1960.

According to media reports, the ruling party candidate Mohamed Bazoum who is pitted against former President Mahamane Ousmane, is seen as a front line challenger and a hot favourite for the top post.
