Protests In France After Lawmakers Vote For Health Pass Being Mandatory

Paris, July 27 (TNA) Wide spread protests have spread in France after lawmakers approved an extension of the COVID health pass requirements to bars and restaurants in the early hours of Monday.

The health pass which means that the person carrying it must— either be vaccinated, tested negative over the previous 48 hours or has recovered from the disease during the previous six months. This is now mandatory in France since last week to visit leisure and cultural venues.

The law will see its use extended to bars and restaurants come early August. It also makes vaccination against COVID-19 mandatory for healthcare professionals.
